I’ve tested several Dyson fans, including the Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde and the Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde, which I currently use at home. Although I rated these gadgets highly, I found them quite bulky, so I was thrilled to try out the Dyson Cool CF1 with its compact size and easy fan settings.

The LCD screen of the Dyson Cool CF1 is simple yet informative. Although there was a slight delay between pressing the remote and the corresponding action on the fan screen, the controls responded swiftly once selected.
The Dyson Cool CF1’s unique design might not appeal to everyone, but I personally find it quite attractive. I appreciate the ability to customize the design manually through the rotatable base and manual controls, along with the magnetic remote control that conveniently attaches to the fan when not in use.

The Dyson Cool CF1’s oscillation was versatile, and I enjoyed the manual twist feature at the base to adjust the fan direction. Overall, Dyson appears to have thought of everything with the new Dyson Cool CF1, making it an excellent companion during the sweltering UK heatwaves I encountered during testing.
I’ve been trying out the Dyson Cool CF1 fan for a few weeks now, and boy, has it been a lifesaver during the recent heatwaves hitting the UK. While it does have a few downsides, the design, technology, and ease of use of the Dyson Cool CF1 more than make up for it. Here’s my take on it.
Sporting an oversized, circular lollipop-like design, the Dyson Cool CF1 is completely bladeless at its core, making it safer and more hygienic to use. The base of the Dyson Cool CF1 boasts an LCD screen, displaying all settings, modes, and timers.

- The bladeless design of the Dyson Cool CF1 is unbeatable

- Living here in the UK, I bet you’re just like me
- used to the cold, gloomy weather so when the sun finally shines, you’re probably the first one hunting down the best fan to cool off. Although the Dyson Cool CF1 comes with a remote that allows you to control the fan power, speed, timer, oscillation, and night mode, the base also houses manual buttons that can be twisted and pressed for customization. The base can be rotated to change the fan’s direction rather than moving the entire fan or adjusting the oscillation.
As mentioned, the Dyson Cool CF1 is an updated version of the original bladeless fan from Dyson, but with improved energy efficiency and cooling technology. Packing 30 watts of power, the Dyson Cool CF1 utilizes Dyson’s patented Air Multiplier tech to deliver a steady breeze by expelling 370 liters of airflow per second.

- The variety of fan speeds available was impressive, and the night mode feature proved helpful during hot summer nights. The fan operated quietly overall, but I did notice a few strange noises during the initial uses
- a tinkering sound at medium to high speeds and a creaking whirring noise while turning.
